TURNING THE TABLES ON HUNGER

In November 2011, we gave 50 lbs. of useful
canned and packaged food to Sacred Heart
Community Services. So far this year, we
have donated 995 lbs. of food, and 3,380lbs.
of food since we began our monthly food
"Help at the Front" drive in June, 2009.
A New FPC Monthly Food Drive
Our Mission Team has agreed to have a monthly food drive for Sacred Heart Community Service on the first Sunday of each month, starting in June, to coincide with communion.
As we are fed by the Lord at the communion table, let us bring food from our table to feed those in need.
Please mark your calendars for June 7 when we will begin (and the first Sunday every month after that).
Please bring as much as you can (one can is great if that's the best you can do in these tight times), of
items like canned soup, stew, chili, beans, fruit, vegetables, powdered milk, cereal, peanut butter and
or Enfamil baby formula with iron.
Sacred Heart reports they have 25% more clients lately and 30% less donations. It is a scary time for people in need and the agencies that serve them. Let's help them all we can.
Pat and Greg Plant will organize, sort, and deliver the food each month. For questions, call Pat or Greg at 408-737-7370.
