MUSIC NEWS

As expected in God's grace, a large group responded to sing as a choir for Easter, singing and celebrating the risen Savior with the premiere of "Revitalizing Life!". The same happened on Pentecost Sunday, when a large group occupied all seats in the chancel, lifting their voices in worship, thus celebrating the coming of God's Spirit, by singing "Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on me".

OUR "GROUP OF SINGERS" practices every Sunday at 9:15 am.

The instrumentalists are welcome at the same time. They may receive the music ahead of time, and practice around the back room piano. They all assemble by 9:45 a.m. getting ready to lead the Congregation with the opening music. It is OPEN. You are welcome to play and/or sing. Please come and join us. Bring your friends!

MUSIK KIDS,  the CHILDREN

Children's ChoirAren't they inspiring gladness when they recite a verse and/or or sing at our worship service? They did a great job Palm Sunday. They were invited to sing this Sunday, May 30, at Homewood Care Center at 75 N. 13th Street, where the children sang last October.

Thanks for your prayerful support. Practices for children's singing are scheduled for the opening of every Sunday School and most Sundays right after the 11:45 fellowship meal. It is planned that they lead the worship opening songs. We are discussing a time of music and singing sometime on Wednesday for community children.

OTHER MUSIC ACTIVITIES

On Thursdays at noon, we have soloists and small group practices via music director's appointment.
Another chamber group practices some Mondays at noon via appointment with music elder(s) Charlotte Powers and/or Jim Lathrop. They include Jodie W. , harp; and sometimes Stella I, cello.

RISING STARS SERIES

Rising Stars Series toward community music involvement, coordinated by Eleazar: Spring and Christmas seasons bring with them our Rising Star Series Music Recitals. In our Spring Music Recital, eight children from our San Jose community shared their musical talents and skills honoring our Creator and blessing our souls.

There is an Independence Pot Luck music parade ahead. Rising Music Stars, please sign up! Once a month at least, as an extension of God's love through the church, Eleazar and Rebeca coordinate a live music, and/or sing-along presentation for Live Oak or other community centers. They perform themselves or involve colleagues or music students.
