COUNTDOWN FOR CAMP!
Sending our kids/youth to summer camp at
Westminster Woods is an important ministry of our
church. It is a time that the children grow spiritually –
forming friendships with other Christian children,
learning from counselors/role models, and spending
time close to nature where they can hear God’s
voice.
 The children will be attending camp Sunday, July 27,
through Saturday, August 2. It seems like a long way
off, but the CYP committee starts preparing now.
All children entering 4th grade - high school are eligible
to attend the full week Westminster Woods camp.
Younger children may attend a shorter camp by
special arrangement.
As in previous years, parents
are asked to pay towards camp if they can afford it.
Camp Scholarships (Camperships) are also provided by
the Presbytery of San Jose and our church.
We require
the children attending camp to contribute service
hours through participation in the Spring all-church
clean-up day and the Tim Todd Annual Pancake
breakfast in June.
Alanna Spencer has already processed the forms for
this year’s camp registration to make sure there is a
place for everyone. |
